Supporting early childhood professionals and parents in building relationships and reducing challenging behaviors.

I use Circle of Security in supporting parents to better understand their children’s emotional needs. Small group training for teachers to better understand emotional needs in young children.

I have been well versed in attachment theory/work since 2014. I am passionate about helping others understand how attachment impacts all of our relationships and Circle is a very practical/easy to use approach for doing this attachment work. I am an organisational trainer and have been working with children and families for 20yrs. I have experience working in the Child Protection, Early Intervention, Education and Training.
I am confident in working with groups and individuals.
I have availability to run training sessions of an evening and weekends. I can also commit to a Friday session. I can also run sessions online or in person.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to support people in strengthening their understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. I am currently offering tele-health sessions.

I use experience and strategies from various evidenced based practices, such as CBT, TF-CBT, CPP, DBT and Circle of Security to treat symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, attention deficits, mood dysregulation, executive functioning issues, expatriate challenges, interpersonal issues, parenting stress, grief and loss in children, adolescents and adults. I enjoy utilizing the Circle of Security curriculum to help caregivers gain internal and external resources for raising their children and building trusting relationships with them.

Therapy is a vehicle for gaining insight into thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior as well as developing hope for the future. I look forward to joining you in establishing a sense of hope and exploring what the therapeutic process might look like for you.

I have been working as a Behavior Interventionist for approximately 20 years. As a therapist works in the office with a family, I go into the home and help the parents/ caregivers deal with the issues that are causing the family distress that cannot be fully addressed in the office. The type of issues varied greatly – from relatively minor teaching parenting strategies to dealing with very complex diagnosis and the resulting behaviors.
Prior to this, I worked/volunteered for various non-profit organizations in my community. What I have found is there is a gap in services where the issue of attachment is not being addressed. With the COSP training, I hope to be able to help parents/caregivers understand attachment and thus strengthen their attachment to their children.
